This is the ultimate guide to nut free Halloween candy — for those wanting 100% safe treats that are peanut free and tree nut free. We included non-food treat ideas, nut free candy corn, and nut free Halloween party favors as well!
A spooky graphic with text overlay: Nut Free Halloween Candy.

Some of the links in this post are affiliate links and I will earn a commission if you purchase through these links (at no additional cost to you).

A lot of nut free Halloween candy lists I've found online aren't created for shoppers looking for candy that's made in a nut free facility or on dedicated, nut-free lines.

Many families navigating peanut and tree nut allergies need the peace of mind provided by consuming products that are 100% safe, with no risk of cross contamination, so this nut free Halloween guide was created with that need in mind.

I hope you find it helpful! If so, please share!

Here's what you'll find for each nut free Halloween candy listing:

  • links to FAQs, Allergen Statements, or dated email correspondence with a brand customer service representative confirming the allergen information I list
  • links for where to buy Halloween-themed versions of each candy, in trick-or-treat sizes

But first…

Non-Candy Halloween Treats

We created a separate post dedicated to non-candy Halloween treats that you can read here, which includes some of our favorite picks from Oriental Trading Company — our favorite place for buying affordable, fun non-food treats for all sorts of occasions throughout the year. Here are a couple of examples, but check out our whole guide!

Every Halloween, we put out our teal-painted pumpkin, and sign up online as a house that's participating in the Teal Pumpkin Project. So, in addition to having a bowl of safe, nut free Halloween candy to hand out, we also always have non-food treats available — safe for kids with any type of food allergy.

If you haven't already, consider buying a teal pumpkin jack-o-lantern to signal to other families that you're offering allergy-friendly trick-or-treats. Then, register your house on the Teal Pumpkin Project map!

Ok, let's get to that nut free Halloween candy list!

Please use this list as a guide, but do your own research to make sure the products listed are 100% safe for your family and your situation. Check and recheck and recheck, as manufacturing processes change constantly. Also, although peanuts are technically a legume and not a nut, I often use the term "nut free" to mean both peanut free and tree nut free.

I broke all of the options down into the following categories:

  • Nut Free Halloween Candy
  • Nut Free Halloween Snacks (Trick or Treat)
  • Nut Free Candy Corn
  • Nut Free Halloween Party Treats
